I have lived in Sebastopol with my wife, Janis Wilson, since 1988. Janis and I live in the heart of town – and through the years have enjoyed many warm, enduring relationships with our friends and neighbors in Sebastopol. These past 20 years have truly been the best years of our lives.
I have worked full-time as a civil law attorney for most of my adult life, and am proud of my professional accomplishments and legal skills. But I feel a greater pride in my service to the community.
I am currently a School Board member for the Sebastopol Union School District, having been elected to office in 2004. It has been my privilege to work on behalf of our neighborhood schools in a mutually supportive process with dedicated teachers, administrators, and parents.
It has also been my privilege to write an editorial page column for our local newspaper, the Sonoma West Times & News, since 1995.
I have coached over 30 youth soccer, baseball, and basketball teams since 1993.
I have taken a leadership role in youth sports governance, serving as the President of Sebastopol’s Tri-School Soccer Club from 1998 – 2001, and as a Director for Western Sonoma County Soccer from 1999 – 2001. I have also provided free legal services to Sebastopol Little League, Sebastopol Center for the Arts, and Western Sonoma County Soccer.
