Guy Wilson's Official Voter Pamphlet Statement

Sebastopol residents are rightfully concerned over large development proposals that may overwhelm our infrastructure. I feel growth must be reasonable and fit within our limited carrying capacity.  We need prudent planning, not formula driven projects that are out of scale with our town.

As a civil attorney with 24 years’ experience, I know how to analyze complex issues, ask relevant questions, and get the facts.  I respect opposing viewpoints and will work cooperatively for the public good.

I’ve been a Sonoma West columnist for 13 years and understand neighborhood concerns.  I take to heart the thoughtful responses from
my readers.  My wife Janis and I, and our children Guy, Valerie and Willie, have enjoyed living in town for 20 years.  My volunteer service includes four years as Trustee of the Sebastopol Union School District; President of Tri-School Soccer; Director of WESCO Soccer; youth baseball and soccer coach for 15 years.

I believe in the goals widely shared by the community:  local business support; safe streets and playgrounds; Laguna protection; promotion of the arts; greater housing opportunities; better traffic solutions. I will represent the community interest. Together we can ensure that Sebastopol remains a thriving, friendly town in the 21st Century.
